Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness
Like with its interest in stimulating block watch in neighborhoods, Four Creeks also supports neighborhood emergency preparedness as part of its focus on neighborhood and community safety.
The Emergency Preparedness service focuses on neighborhoods. At the center is the creation of Neighborhood Emergency Teams, although NET depends on individual and household preparedness, and exists in the context of regional preparedness, so those topics are briefly included.
Begun in 2016 in response to a local resident asking if any neighbors were interested in disaster preparedness. In 2017, the service received its first grant for the effort.
The intent is to improve capabilities of neighborhood to respond and recover from an emergency.
