Hello Local East Renton Citizens,

Over, the past year community members have work with King County Local Services to design and implement a participatory budgeting process in unincorporated King County. We have gathered ideas of how to spend allotted funding ( currently $301,000.00 for capital Improvements )in the East Renton Unincorporated Urban Area, also known as ( East Renton Potential Annexation Area ). Currently, we are working to build ideas submitted by community into proposals, that will go to a community vote in late June 2022.

I would like to invite you to a virtual community event on Tuesday May 24 5pm-7pm where you can learn about the updates, and progress of The People’s Budget in your area.  Click link for meeting info: Community Event Flyer

Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) is moving forward with their strategic planning process. This process involves our community, employees and stakeholders. The goal of the strategic planning process is to set goals and objectives that reflect the people we serve.

EF&R launched an online survey and to further hear from our community, will be hosting in-person meetings in April to facilitate in-depth conversations with those who do not wish to participate online or would like further engagement from their fire department.
